Voss, Norway: What a great jumping off spot for all kinds of adventure tourism. Kayaking, paragliding, hiking, biking. Not to mention it is less than an hour away to the major fjords.
It’s a small town, not a lot of choice for restaurants or hotels but that is about to change. It is fast becoming popular with adventure travelers and is ripe for an infusion of boutique cafes and hotels.
I stayed at Store Ringheim, a working farm with converted rooms, all charming, freshly picked berries from the garden, known in Voss as one of the best meals one can get with a fabulous view of the valley.
